Examples of antimicrobial activities of six strains of isolated Lactococcus by the agar well diffusion method. Target microorganisms: left Pseudomonas fluorescens IPA64L(−), centre Escherichia coli IPA27, right Staphylococcus aureus IPA103. Wells contain the crude culture supernatants of lactococci. Wells 1, 3, 5 correspond to the crude culture supernatants of Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis Lc l1, Lc l3, Lc l5), respectively. Wells 4, 6 correspond to the crude culture supernatants of Lactococcus lactis ssp. cremoris Lc c4, Lc c6), respectively. Well 2 corresponds to the crude culture supernatant of Lactococcus lactis ssp. lactis biovar diacetylactis Lc d2).
