GH stands for glycoside hydrolases (hydrolysis and/or rearrangement of glycosidic bonds), GT for glycosyltransferases (formation of glycosidic bonds), PL for polysaccharide lyase, CE for carbohydrate esterase (nonhydrolytic cleavage of glycosidic bonds), CBM for carbohydrate-binding module (adhesion to carbohydrates), and AA for auxiliary activities (redox enzymes that act in conjunction with CAZymes)
